How To Deal With Scalp Irritation

Have you ever experienced scalp irritation or itchiness? It happens to me and I hate it. Many people believe that when it happens it means that hair is growing. Some say that experiencing scalp irritation a few days after your salon visit, especially after having your hair plaited means that the hair stylist’s hand is bad. Bad because it causes scalp irritation to customers.  Others say that scalp irritation happens when the hair is dirty and needs to be washed.

There are many more explanations of scalp irritation. Personally, I do not understand the science behind it. Over time I have realized that there is a solution to this problem. I use an orange juice spray when my scalp itches. The orange juice spray is easy to make and works for me. I think it can work for you too. You can use it on your natural or plaited hair. Just make sure that the irritation is not serious. If your hair falls when you scratch the itching area, then you have to consult a dermatologist.
How to make an orange spray at home:

Ingredients
1 orange
½ cup of water
2 Tbsp. of Coconut oil or your favorite essential oil.
1Tbsp. of sugar

Procedure
1.      Slice the orange and juice it.
2.      Add water and sugar to the orange juice
3.      Stir to mix.
4.      Sieve the mixture into a clean bowl and add your favorite essential oil.
5.      Pour the mixture into a clean spray bottle and store in a cool, dry place.

Alternatively, you can use a blender. When you do so don’t remove orange peels because they add a sweet smell to your spray. If you use the squeezing method to juice the orange, you can boil the peels in water and add to your juice for that sweet smell. If you keep the spray bottle air tight and only use the nozzle to spray, the spray will remain fresh for a long time. Plus, the sugar helps prevent fermentation.

Don't trust your hair with anybody if you want to see an increase in length...

Source: Pinterest Many people do not know how to handle African hair because of all the tangles and knots it makes. Many hair stylists just comb through it with force to get the knots out, and that is how hair breaks. I remember a time when I went to the salon to have my hair straightened. The hair stylist washed my hair and conditioned it. Then without fully detangling it, she mercilessly went through it with a comb. As she combed through my hair, I could see my hair breaking. It was all over the floor. I felt sad but there was nothing I could do. I couldn't stop her because I thought she would be embarrassed. How stupid of me! I just sat there and let her rip my hair apart. After that session, I went home with a heavy heart. My hair was even shorter than it was some months back. You should never trust your hair with anybody. Many stylists only care about the cash they will receive from you, they don’t give a damn about your hair. Therefore, speak up if you see that your h...
