Hair rules to follow if you want your hair to grow long...

Many people don’t like rules, I included. However, there are some rules you just have to follow in order to get desired results. The rules below can apply to anybody who wants to grow long hair:
Love your hair
Loving your hair means accepting your hair as it is. It doesn’t matter if it’s naturally kinky or straight. You should be proud of your hair. Marvel in its uniqueness. Treat it like something you treasure the most and you will be surprised. Your hair will love you back. It will reward you with length, thickness, natural shine and strength.
Be kind to your hair
Some people are so ruthless with their hair. They comb it as if they are angry with it. They end up breaking it in the process. Hair breakage is one of the reason why hair does not increase in length. If your hair is kinky, then it needs extra care because it is dry hence highly prone to breakage. Don’t let anybody, be it a stylist or even yourself bully your hair if you want to achieve more length.
Apart from poor combing techniques, don’t expose your hair to harsh chemicals. I am not telling anybody not to dye or relax their hair but if you want long hair stay away from them. They will weaken and break your hair. If you really want to dye your hair, then try henna. Henna is a natural hair dye. It helps strengthen and thicken the hair. Also, beware of commercial natural products. Some of them are not natural at all. They just say that they are natural to gain sales. Always check the ingredients list before purchase.
Protect your hair.
Always protect your hair when outdoors. Do not expose it to the sun for long because UV rays do not do it any good. They steal its natural shine, leaving it dull. Also, don’t let the wind blow it frequently because it will weaken and break it. Protect your hair from direct heat. Do not use flat irons and curling irons on your hair because there are consequences. Your hair will be weakened leading to breakage. Rain water is also not good for your hair, especially if you live in the city, where there is a lot of pollution.
Be patient
You can’t grow long hair overnight. It takes patience, or else you will give up along the way, make bad hair decisions and ruin your hair. Then you will be forced to chop your hair and start all over again. If you are not patient enough, the cycle will repeat itself over and over again, then you will never be able to grow long hair. Remember, patience is bitter but its fruits are sweet.
